Elaine Badgley/Arnoux’s career as a California
landscape and portraiture artist spans more than 50 years. Elaine
is especially revered for her critically acclaimed watercolor paintings.
She has spent most of her artistic career capturing the particular
geography—light, colors and shapes, both natural and man-made
that distinguish the agricultural regions of California, France,
Spain, Mexico and India. According to many critics, curators and
art historians, the breadth and quality of her work has few equals.
Elaine is also well-known for her sensitive portraiture
work. Her two most famous series, “The People of Biot”
and “The People of San Francisco”, have been widely
exhibited and reproduced. The work of award-winning artist Elaine
Badgley Arnoux has been shown in galleries and museums as well as
corporate and private collections, in local, national and international
venues.
